Whenever I'm disappointed with my lot in life, I stop and think about little Jamie Scott. Jamie was trying out for a part in his school play.
His mother told me that he'd set his heart on being in it, though she feared he would not be chosen.
On the day the parts were awarded, I went with her to collect him after school. Jamie rushed up to her, eyes shining with pride and excitement.
"Guess what, Mom," he shouted, and then said those words that remain a
lesson to me: "I've been chosen to clap and cheer."

I am curious:
- did you ever have a time when it seemed you were never picked?
- as you look back at those times, what did you learn?
- what do you do when you face some of life's disappointments?

When a disappointment comes knocking on my door I am sad for a second and think theyre will be other times, This time was not to be.
Good questions Gregg.
Yvonne.
You mean, was there ever not a time that I wasn't picked? The rest of the time I was picked on, lol.
When I face some of life's disappointments I usually kick and scream a lot, then after I calm down, I ask God for help and continue on.
