Would You Please Pray?

I am taking a major step of faith in being obedient to what I believe is the leading of our Lord. By God's grace I want to begin a bible study in our neighborhood and community. With limited, who am I kidding, no  funds and a desire for God rather than my own humanistic efforts to raise up this study, I am turning to my friends who pray. As you can see, Lord willing, and by His grace, I intended to begin Wednesday evening, June 2nd. Would you consider adding this bible study to your prayer time and beseech heaven for its richest blessing on that evening. Would you schedule this request more than once between now & June 2?

Neighborhood bible study

Beginning June 2nd, 2010 @ 7:00 PM

(every Wednesday evening)

Verse by Verse study of
I John

“The Fruit of Fellowship”

In this letter John calls his readers back to three
basic ideas needed for the Christian Life:

• True Doctrine

• Obedient Living

• Fervent Devotion

Come join us in a verse by verse explanation of First John with relevant application to your everyday life.

All are welcome!

Inspirational Gregg. Makes me think about perhaps doing one in my neighborhood or instigating one. May God richly bless it and shine His brilliant light and grace upon it.

So basically you are inviting the community to join in a study of John?

Wonderful. Who knows how many might be reached? I'll remeber you in prayer.

Will you be posting your lesson notes here?

Pastor Gregg, Prayers are going up. May the Holy Spirit prepare the hearts in advance and lead those to the word through your ministry and Bible Study. And may Christ be praise!

Yvonne - thank you for your well wishes. Have a great weekend.

Libby - hope you will consider leading a women's bible study or being the motivator in prompting a more general or mixed study.

Lloyd - thank you for your prayers. I am trusting that the effectual and fervent prayers of Gods' people will accomplish much for His glory!

4Simpsons - thanks! I believe it is done!

JD Curtis - yes it will be for anyone, hopefully God will direct those whom hearts he has prepared for his glory. yes, I think it is Wednesdays beginning June 2nd that I will be posting the lessons. I don't know how to post them other than maybe in some skeleton form. I am counting on you and others to have we learn how to post the studies in the right way.

Brian - thank you for agreeing to pray. yes, I am praying and trusting that God will bring out those whom He has prepared already.

Lisa - thank you for praying! I may be a fool for staring a bible study and a church when I have no work or income. Am I?

Wish you were close enought to attend also. Irene and I would love to meet you guys one day.

I'll be praying that God will use your home Bible study to evangelize your neighborhood and build up the body of Christ.

Not only for this but praying for the Lord's protection over you and those who will join the Bible study. That is awesome! And He will provide! God bless.

Prayers for your Bible Study group. Our group has functioned for years with no funds at all. God is good that way.
