I don't care much to be inspected by people because more often than not they will use what they find to condemn me. But God reveals my daily sins so I can confess, repent and have a closer walk with Him and on top of all that I get a blessing!!
Yvonne - yes, they are good words. They come from Puritan prayer that I have incorporated into my prayer life.
OG - yes, thank God that He does "inspect" our hearts regularly and accurately. I , too, am glad that He forgives us completely.

In my infinite mind I don't know how I can stand to watch the secrets of my heart be revealed and to see my works burn like wood, hay, and stubble and still rejoice while giving God the praise. The Bema Seat will be a very excrutiating time. I hope somethings I have done will survive the fire as gold, silver, and precious stones.
I have a similar prayer that I say, that is written on a "post it" note tape to the monitor of my work computer. It reads; "Father, Take the things out of my life that offend you. Amen"
John 15:4 says, "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me."
A prayer to have Lord God examine us and improve us and an excellent request of a disciple as we abide daily with our Lord & Savior.
