“Then Jesus said to him. “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall
worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’” (Matthew 4:10, NJV)
“The
foundation upon which true worship is based is redemption. The supreme
objective in the salvation of sinners is an eternal display of the glory of
God: “so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of his
grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:7). Worship, of
course, not only magnifies God’s glory; it is our only fitting response-“to the
praise of the glory of His grace” (Ephesians 1:6). So in the grand scheme of
redemption, one of the principal things God is doing is transforming sinners
into worshippers.”

Worship: The
Ultimate Priority
