Two Greatest Questions in the World

John Piper puts forth these two questions as the two most important questions in all of the world in his book, God's Passion for His Glory. Every believer needs to both ask and answer these two questions. I believe discovering the answers to these questions is as vital as finding Christ for redemption and salvation. I also agree with Piper when he writes, "Only He (God) can reveal the answer.

Why did God create us?

How do I join God in the
fulfilling of that purpose?

Has God revealed the answer to these two questions to you?

If He has, are you willing to share those answers?

Two questions both important to the world. There are other questions I would like to ask why does God see the starvation and suffering in the world he created and all the suffering of people at the hands of terrorists.

Enjoy your day Gregg,
Yvonne.

Good thoughts to ponder today, Gregg. I have no answers at the moment. Happy Thursday! ☺

Gregg, I thought I knew the answer to both of these questions as I served in ministry. Then I became ill and had to resign my position and eventually stopped attending church altogether. Now, I don't have an answer and I have been struggling for months to find some sort of answer.

Okay, I've plucked a daisy. I'll try. I'll not try, I'll try... Okay, try.

He created us for His glory, purpose and enjoyment?

By faith and obedience? (Well, the Pharaoh who was created by God and for God, showed neither faith nor obedience and unwittingly added to God's glory with the hardness of his heart, which was God's doing and purpose.)

I'm thinking. Feel free to help me out here. :-)

Why did God create us? For His own good pleasure.

How do I join God in the fulfilling of that
purpose? By His grace towards me through Christ.
