In conjunction with Seams Inspired's Blogfest, I give you my Seven Monday Mornings Fact for your, what, enjoyment, entertainment, curiosity, concern, snoopiness, wonder, and or inquisitiveness!
Fact: I am a doctrinal precisionist. It seems to be a vanishing breed, slowly being choked out by the weed of doctrinal pragmatism.
Fact: Some cities are known for a famous resident, some for an event in history, some for location, my beloved city (Longview, WA) is known for its "Squirrel Fest." August 6th, 2011 @ the Nutty Narrows Bridge, Civic Circle. 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM. What is your city known for?
Fact: Irene is liking not doing dishes so much she is trying to renegotiate a permanent contract to keep my hands in Dawn dish liquid.
Fact: I fell asleep in the last 14 minutes of Burn Notice Thursday night and don't know how it ended. First show I have missed in its 5 seasons. Hulu won't broadcast it. What am I gonna do? Somebody help me! Send me a CD or VHS tape of that episode, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!
Fact: I tried to "score" The Works of Stephen Charnock (5 volumes) for a book review, but Banner of Truth Trust said it wasn't available. So they are shipping Charles Spurgeon's Lectures to My Students for my review.
Fact: Thursday night I cooked dinner. I pan fried Tilapia with some salt, pepper, marjoram, Sherry, and lemon juice. I then laid those fillets on top of a bed of rice, and garnished it with steamed asparagus.
Fact: I rode the bus for the first time today! Irene and I took my Pronto M51 Electric Wheelchair on the special bus downtown so I could wheel around the 1st Annual Squirrel Fest Days activities!

Our town is noted for its Blackbeard Festival. According to legend, the notorious pirate met his demise here.

Squirrel Fest sounds like great event. I know lots of squirrels here in California that would love to attend such an event... especially our politicians.
The bus ride sounds like an interesting challenge. Power chairs are a blessing from God for the disabled. Our oldest son got his 1st one when he was 8 years old. He'll be 46 next year and is still active in wheelchair sports.
Great post. Hope your adventure at the Squirrel fest went well. Sadly, our town is only famous for Mardi Gras, and we don't attend for obvious reasons.

My wife and I have been buying the big bags of frozen tilapia filets from Costco lately. They are excellent. So far I've been baking them in the oven with a combination of chile-lime powder and blackened seasoning, but I've been wanting to try pan frying it with garlic. The way you fixed them sounds very good. Tilapia is economical and delicious--not sure why I haven't been buying this all along.
The only thing I wonder about is why does so much of the tilapia come from Indonesia, China, and other Asian countries? Why isn't the U.S. raising more tilapia?
