The Glory of God Made Visible

"Then God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night." [Genesis 1:16, NKJV]

The eclipse yesterday was spectacular. Nothing I can say can add to or enhance what has been said by both professional and lay-people alike. I was moved by the majesty, the beauty, and the glory of God's creative power and design.

However, my heart was also moved by the fact that the several hundreds of thousands of people who went to great expense and effort to view this magnificent event, who "oohed" and "awed"in amazement did not know the creator of the sun or the moon. The great sin and tragedy is to marvel at the creation while ignoring the Creator. May God use this marvelous event to yet draw many to Himself in salvation.
