I Never Lack

"May the matter of my prayer be always wise, humble, submissive, obedient, scriptural, Christ-like. Give me unwavering faith that supplications are never in vain, that if I seem not to obtain my petitions I shall have larger, richer answers, surpassing all that I ask or think. Unsought, thou has given the greatest gift, the person of thy Son, and in him thou wilt give me all I need."

(From The Prayer of Love, The Valley of Vision, p. 149)

  • What are you praying for today that if God were to answer would enhance and deepen your walk with Him?

  • What should be changed in your prayer life to bring it in line with the tone of this prayer?

  • What does the last sentence in this foregoing paragraph say specifically to you?

1. The specific needs and prayer requests of others..like you Brother Gregg.

2. I need to be more consistent.

3. Since God has given Jesus to die for my sins, will He not give me all things that I ask for, if they are according to His will?

Thank you Gregg for such an inspiring message. When my Savior and Lord died on the cross for me, He gave me all I really needed in this earthly life. Jesus gives me all the joy, happiness and peace that only He can bring. No material item or any other person can fell this empty void but Christ Jesus. My Lord Jesus is waiting for me in heaven and I get so excited thinking that I will be His forever. God bless, Lloyd

JD - It is, thank God for the Puritans.

Yvonne - Thank you so much for the little something!! You do not know how much I appreciate it coming from you.

OG - Right on and Amen!

Lloyd - if we received nothing more than Christ, it is more than any heaven or earth could afford. God bless you brother. You bless me so.

Great questions to search the soul. There are a list of answers to each. May we all ponder your message and questions in prayer and thanksgiving. Thank you for your ministry.

Valley of Vision...a great collection of deep prayers. Thank you for this one, Gregg.

The last sentence is the one thing we must always remember with great gratitude...that everything pertaining to life (and life everlasting) comes through Jesus.
