The Gospel: Hard to Believe Part 2

The Sunday Sound-Bite...

Gospel Driven Disciples introduces a new component: The Sunday Sound-Bite.

These "selections" will be from various men of God commenting on various topics with the goal of provoking a deeper appreciation of our Lord Jesus Christ and to facilitate obedience to the admonition given in II Peter 3:18 – “grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Savior Jesus Christ.”

This selection is part two of an interview of John MacArthur, Pastor of Grace Community Church, Panorama City, CA. This is part two of a three part series. They are talking about the truth of the Word of God.

MacArthur is right on the money, as usual.

If an evangelist is given one hour to share the gospel with someone, the 1st 45 minutes should be about sin, hell and eternal damnation and the final 15 minutes should be about how to escape what he deserves.

I attended the premiere of the movie "Left Behind" at the Director's Guild years ago and missed the opportunity to tell Kirk thanks for his part in this Christian classic. He has teamed with Ray Comfort (of "Hell's Best Kept Secret" fame) to form an evangelistic ministry in Los Angeles called Living Water (http://www.livingwaters.com/)in disciplining and street ministry. Jon MacArthur has a radio ministry here each morning on KKLA. These ministers of God have a heart for the lost and a true desire to bring the truth of the gospel to the world, which is today in darkness and unbelief. Awesome and inspiring!

Awesome interview!

I've been through the School of Biblical Evangelism (Ray Comfort's online training), went through a one day Way of the Master Crash Course and helped teach in other Crash Courses. I have a MacArthur Study Bible that I'm currently reading, and use this style of evangelism on the streets.

I don't feel there is any other Biblical method to use. Law to the proud, Grace to the humble.

To God be the glory!
