With the help of the Spirit, to to glorify thee who hast given me being, and to do all the good I can for my fellow men ... to do this by properly communicating that the thorns (Luke 8:14) are not the path to happiness, but the road to destruction (Matt. 7:13-14). I pray that the Lord gives us the words that allows us, His children, to speack His truth and light into the hearts of those which He has prepare to hear and see, to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, at the foot of the cross, and find true joy for this prilgrimage that He has purposefully gifted each and everyone of us on today. Blessings and grace.
ReplyDeleteTo glorify thee who hast given me being, and to do all the good I can for my fellow men;
ReplyDeleteAmen! The writer of this prayer nailed it! But how could something that sounds so easy to do often be so difficult? I suppose it's because my spirit is willing but my flesh is weak...not an excuse...just a fact. Praise God that 1 John 1:9 is still in the Bible :-)
Take care Gregg and have a blessed SONday

This geezer and the Geezer agree on this one Gregg.
This was beautiful, Gregg. I really liked the quaint language of it. And the sentiments were so perfect. Is there any higher aim than to glorify Him who made us? Life is not worth living apart from Him.
ReplyDeleteGOD BLESS!
