D is for Delilah and Her Scissors

Delilah and Her Scissors
Judges 16:1-31

Chorus:

Hey there Delilah
What’s that you’re holding in your hand?
Hey there Delilah
What’s that you’re holding in your hand?

Hey there Delilah
Are you going to cut the hair of another man?
Hey there Delilah
Is that scissors you are holding in your hand?

Delilah we all know the story
It has been told all over the valley
We know what you did to Samson
His hair was all of his glory
You took a little help from Sally
Now you have something to ransom

You didn’t know that he loved you
And now he is dead and gone,
because those columns fell on his head
Things would be different if you knew
That his love for you was so strong
You’ll never find him in your bed

Chorus:

Hey there Delilah
What’s that you’re holding in your hand?
Hey there Delilah
What’s that you’re holding in your hand?

Hey there Delilah
Are you going to cut the hair of another man?
Hey there Delilah
Is that scissors you are holding in your hand?

(Repeat Chorus)

Hey there Delilah
What’s that you’re holding in your hand?
Hey there Delilah
What’s that you’re holding in your hand?

Hey there Delilah
Are you going to cut the hair of another man?
Hey there Delilah
Is that scissors you are holding in your hand?
