I have dedicated poems to you on this day
they did no justice to what I wanted to say
so I thought this year I would offer you a  toast
which is far better than any tacky roast

So here goes:

Your mom and I hope you're happy;
we even want you to be healthy;
but to care for your mom and dad,
we really wish you to be wealthy!

Take your vitamins to stay strong;
continue to grow wise like a sage;
 get lots of sleep and take great care,
and be good to us in our old age!
