Taking Aim

Over the last forty (40) years I have written a number of quotes, comments, pithy sayings, and poems in the fly-leafs of my bibles. Each Tuesday I am going to share those various entries from my bibles with you. I hope they will be as much of blessing to you as they have been to me. Sometimes I will be able to give credit where credit is due and sometimes I won’t be able to credit the source. I apologize for this to each one who contributed these gems over the last forty (40) years.

TODAY'S TREASURE:

In Glorifying God, I must aim at magnifying God's character and nature. Gods' glory must be the ultimate end of all my actions.

  2. Thanks, I thought it was a good piece for food for thought! Yes, and thanks, we are OK, just a bit exasperated. This has been a week or so of having half of our belongings moved out of our apartment, hanging out all day in the office and lobby of our apartment, since we have nothing in our living room. We have plywood over the kitchen and bathroom floor where the floor was removed and concrete foundation jack-hammered out and a three foot whole exposed for about 14 foot, and a three foot pile of dirt/sand in our living room. Today the inspectors come, then the dirt is placed back in the whole and then concreted over. Then we need a flooring guy to re-install our pad and carpet and kitchen and bathroom floors. Lord willing, we shall be normal by tomorrow evening.

  3. I wandered over here to congratulate the winner of Tina's (life is good) IKEA gift card. What a blessing to discover this site!! It is one more way that I feel the Lord beckoning me to a deeper walk. May the Lord bless your ministry as you seek to bring glory to His Name.
