Five Things Your Sin Won’t Tell You

1.   Its payoff is eternal death

“For the wages (pay) of sin is death…”  (Romans 6:23, KJV)

2.  Although private and hidden it will make itself public

“…behold, you have sinned against the LORD, and be sure you sin will find you out.” (Numbers 32:23, ESV)

3.  Its Promised Pleasure is only temporary

“…choosing rather to be mistreated with the people of God than to enjoy the  fleeting pleasures of sin.” (Hebrews 11:25, ESV)

4.   There is no earthly or human activity that can remove its stain

“For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.” (Hebrews 10:4, ESV)

5.  That when you are owned by Christ sin’s bondage is broken

“For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace. But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, and having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.”  (Romans 6:14, 17, ESV)
