The Day After Thanksgiving

Your acid reflux will make you weep
you'll cry and cry, and try to sleep
but sleep won't come the whole night through
your acid reflux, will burn a whole in you

Chorus:

when tears come down your face like rain
you'll hunt around for something to kill the pain
you'll walk the floor the way we all do
your acid reflux, will burn a whole in you

your big blue eyes made you stuff your face
you had to eat everything around your place
but now you feel what real heartburn can do
your acid reflux will burn a whole in you

just one more piece of pie one more turkey leg
a couple more rolls and a dozen devil eggs
gravy so spicy it was like witches brew
your acid reflux will burn a whole in you

Chorus:

when tears come down your face like rain
you'll hunt around for something to kill the pain
you'll walk the floor the way we all do
your acid reflux, will burn a whole in you

Bridge:

you're on the hunt for a bottle of tums or two
and now you know what real heart-burn can do

So, stop your crying and just cowboy up
go pour some Maalox in your favorite coffee cup
and take a lesson that really isn't so new
your acid reflux, will burn a whole in you

Note:  The tree in our house usually goes up today (the day of Thanksgiving), with an impending move we may not put up a tree; so I put up a tree on my blog the day after Thanksgiving.
