An excellent review Gregg,
ReplyDeleteHave a peaceful Sunday.
Yvonne.
This sounds like a great book. I'm going to leave this comment, and then zip on over to Amazon and get it. It seems to me that we believers do not think about our eternity enough - I know that all too often I get consumed with earthly distractions.
ReplyDeleteHave you read Randy Alcorn's book, Heaven? I have it on my shelf - have yet to read it. It's quite a bit longer, but I've also heard that it's very good.
I think it's important to know more about Heaven - I also believe that this knowledge brings comfort, truth, and hope.
Thanks, Gregg - when I read this book, I'll let you know what I think!
GOD BLESS you and yours on this wonder-full Palm Sunday!
Thanks for this post. Even as a Christian I have to admit I really wonder about Heaven and what happens. This has really hit home for me these past couple weeks with my brother's passing and my best friend dealing with her son having a brain tumor and cancer that has spread to his bones. I am going to find this book. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteI'm always interested in books of this nature and will have to be on the lookout for it.
ReplyDeleteYears ago I read a book called Intra Muros: My Dream of Heaven by Rebecca Ruter Springer. Apparently many years ago it was commonly given to bereaving people to help them cope with death of a loved one. I read a copy at my grandparents' house in 1970 and really enjoyed it. Are you familiar with this book and if so what are your thoughts on it? It was written in the late 1800s I believe and it is once again in print.

Thanks for the review Gregg. I bookmarked and hope to give it a read myself.
ReplyDeleteI have often wondered if heaven is more of a different dimension than merely another place. It will be good to hear his viewpoint.
Have a great week!
Awesome review. I will definitely find this book, it sounds like a great read. I've had many thoughts and questions about Heaven myself and would love to hear this man's perspective and research on it. Thank you so much! Have a beautiful day!
