Mercy Drops Round Us Are Falling...

Sometimes a Disciple
Just Needs
Mercy...

The LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. (Exodus 34:6 ESV)

God tolerates even our stammering, and pardons our ignorance whenever something inadvertently escapes us - as, indeed, without this mercy there would be no freedom to pray.
--John Calvin

Mercy should make us ashamed, wrath afraid to sin.
--William Gurnall

I would say to my soul, O my soul, this is not the place of despair; this is not the time to despair in. As long as mine eyes can find a promise in the Bible, as long as there is a moment left me of breath or life in this world, so long will I wait or look for mercy, so long will I fight against unbelief and despair."
--John Bunyan (1628 - 1688

"Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life."
--King David

We implore the mercy of God, not that He may leave us at peace in our vices, but that He may deliver us from them.
--Blaise Pascal

  5. We have been given mercy in supernatural abundance.
We need to show mercy in all of our relationships. It should be in our DNA.

  6. Gregg -
This post was like a cleansing rain that washed over my soul today. (Interestingly enough, it came on a day that we had actual rain all day!)

Thank you for sharing this. I am encouraged to think of God's goodness and mercy following me every day of my life, for the rest of my life.

    Praise God for His mercies!

    GOD BLESS!
