A wonderful post Gregg I will always remember the beautiful smile my husband had as he looked at my daughter before he took his last breath.
ReplyDeleteBut saying that I hope I'm here a little longer in this world as I have goals and places I want to achieve.
Have a good day.
Yvonne.
I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteAnd it's all going to happen on December 21, 2012, right? The Mayans can't be wrong.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, thanks for the reminder. And as one of my old favorite songs says, "If you believe He's coming back tomorrow, then live like He is coming back today."
Yvonne - what a day that will be for those who are in Christ!
ReplyDeleteMa - right there with you!
Scott - We have a false prophet on the west coast based in Oakland with national and international broadcasts who has been given the key and determined that the rapture will take place on May 21, 2011. His name is Harold Camping. You can go to his website. He used to be a reformed preacher that once preached biblical truth but something happened somewhere, sometime - now he thinks the church age is over, the church is dead, and he has been calling people out of the church for a few years. He is talking about the "evangelical Christian church." Now the end of the world on May 21, 2011. So He thinks the Mayans are wrong.
Looking for the hope of that blessed coming!
Gregg
come quickly precious Lord Jesus!
ReplyDeleteAmen. That blessed hope is one of the things that separate Christianity from all other religions.
ReplyDeleteGregg, Harold Camping seems to be the fly in the ointment at Family Radio. Most of their programing is very good. I love their music.
ReplyDeleteI guess when your the owner of the corporation you can give yourself a platform to spread your lies and false teachings.
Do you know if he was ever sound in his teachings?
I am always amazed at these preachers and false prophets who name the day of Christ's return. I would have thought they had knowledge of their Bibles and then all of a sudden they forget the "thief in the night" part.
ReplyDeleteWonderful post, Gregg. It's something that I have been thinking a lot about over the last few days especially.

Tossing It Out
We're studying eschatology in Sunday school which can lead to lively discussions. In spite of the disagreements over the details among believers, may we all love and long for His appearing!
