What One Book Would You Read?

John Newton, the author of Amazing Grace, Pastor, and former slave trader, stated, "If I might read only one book beside the Bible, I would choose The Christian in Complete Armour." (William Gurnall)

I am curious, if you had to choose just one book that you could read, beside the Bible, what book would it be and why?

  1. Possibly Studies in the Sermon on the Mount by Martyn Lloyd-Jones. I've benefitted more from my reading in that book than any other, and I can read it over and over.

  2. I would have a hard time choosing. There are so many books that I would love to read that I don't have the time for right now. If I had to pick one out of the ones I have already read, I think it would be Holiness by J.C. Ryle.
