They were a pretty good group. I went to see them in concert one time in the eighties in a high school auditorium in Loudon, TN.

Favorite Bible character?
I like your answer and those of the other commenters. There are so many interesting people in the Bible.
Let me go with Solomon. He is sometimes credited with being the wisest man who ever lived, but it seems like he sure messed up a lot.

In Ecclesiastes he seems so disillusioned with the world and his life--even after having so much--and he just gets back to the basics. I'd like to hear him speak about all that he learned and ask advice about things.

Lee
Tossing It OutArlee Birdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11663942782929929334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7930553747640588156.post-81584050116129622712011-03-11T07:34:52.214-08:002011-03-11T07:34:52.214-08:00I think I will have to say Noah with all those ani...I think I will have to say Noah with all those animals, I'd be satisfied with one but the owner of my apartment don't allow animals.

Have a good week-end.
Yvonne.RHYTHM AND RHYMEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11386975261804630799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7930553747640588156.post-14413321208637702412011-03-11T05:50:47.677-08:002011-03-11T05:50:47.677-08:00My favorite is James, the brother of Jesus. James walked with Him. He talked with Him. And James' words just pierce my heart when I need it the most. I would love to sit and chat with him, discovering his inner-most thoughts. His words are so full of passion. Did he have a gentle spirit or was he loud like me? Did he feel he was living in the shadow of his brother, or did he truly feel blessed just to lift up the name as he brought others to salvation?

Fabulous post, Gregg! Can't wait to read all the commentary! He wrote the psalms, which all of us can relate to because of the hardships we encounter in our lives. David went through so much hardship, but God showed himself faithful. You learn a lot about the Lord when studying the life of David.

However, for now my favorite character is Joseph. I can relate to him in my current circumstances. I feel like I'm in a prison, but at the right time the Lord will release me and exalt me to a high position. Joseph was amazing in how he forgave his brothers for selling him into slavery, and he had great endurance and perseverance, while falsely accused and spending a number of years in prison.

But the Lord was with Joseph and gave him great favor wherever he was. And I know that the Lord is giving me great favor where I am right now.

Blessings,
JudyJudyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02627442110584626257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7930553747640588156.post-64485539608206558132011-03-11T04:03:48.431-08:002011-03-11T04:03:48.431-08:00David fascinates me. I would love to be called a man (woman) after God's own heart.

I would like to sit down with David, hear him play some of his psalms on the stringed instrument, and tell of his life, his ups and downs and how God was merciful to him through it all.

God's faithfulness to David gives me hope.Alicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00380432930727921469noreply@blogger.com
